Books For Children TD Bank North Helps Springfield Forward Collect Books for Springfield Kids Springfield Forward has started to collect and donate used and new books for Springfield School Children. In partnership with TD Bank North, Sumner Avenue Branch, Springfield, MA, Springfield Froward will be donating books to Springfield area schools. Thank you TD Bank North!

March 26, 2010: With the help and support of TD Bank and Councilman Melvin Edwards, Springfield Forward collected hundreds of gently used children's books which they donated to the students at the Elias Brookings School and the Sumner Avenue School. Supporting literacy is a major project of Springfield Forward and giving children their very own books is a good part of the effort.
Springfield Forward has been collecting books throughout the community over the past several months to help children acquire their very own books – generating enthusiasm for reading. According to Springfield Forward Secretary, Ellen Pappas, "giving children their own books is a wonderful way to help these children acquire a lifelong passion for reading."
